In 2012, Jennifer Rubin began streamlining the candle making process, exploring ways to make candle personalization easy and affordable.
After nearly twenty years of success with Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge, we began experimenting with ways to bring the personalizing fun from ceramics to candles. In 2013 Glow was opened in Willow Glen, along side Petroglyph--and today, 20,000 candles later, the business is a cornerstone to the community of Willow Glen.
Why Candles?
Precious, personal, beautiful, and functional; candles are a great form of self-expression that, when made alongside your family and friends, provide a unique blend of private and social crafting. They freeze a moment in time by encapsulating found objects, warm memories, and enchanting scents, only to be released days or years later. And you get to decide whether they are simple — just a warm light and pleasant scent — or a veritable bouquet, centerpiece, or time capsule.
